Cadena....:::::....Chain

8 things I want to do before I die:

(This is a chain that was sent from a friend where each person publishes these 8 things on their blogspot and invites 8 more to do the same. I think it's always a good thing to do, helps to put things in perspective)

1. Live next door to Jody and have coffee (decaf) in the morning together several times a week, and that we take our dogs for walks together.

2. Drive from Tijuana to the Tierra del Fuego with Gaby and hang out with our new penguin friends.

3. See Tom Waits live in concert

4. Visit Magui in Spain and Pepe in France on the same trip. Soon.

5. Feel the pyramids.

6. That Gaby and I convert our house into a combination of the following: restaurant/hotel/farm/artist/writer/residency/ publisher somewhere near a truck stop.

7. Take a boat to Antarctica, and along the way a whale would hang out with the boat and let me touch it.

8. Fly over Kenya in a two person plane for several days.

8 Cosas para antes de morir:

Whether or not they do it, or if choose to break the chain (even though it could possibly bring them bad luck :( ), i am inviting: Paula Cronan, Davina Semo, Stephen Remington, El Tambor, Pepe Vázquez, Claudia Algara, Lauren Wooley y Wendell Kling They should write their list and publish it on their blog, myspace, friendster etc...partycipar.

Dallas, are you out there?

Dallas here I come!!!
The University of Texas at Dallas has an Interdisciplinary PhD in the humanities, and it comes equipped with a concentration in translation, and you can do a critical/creative project.

"The decision not to offer an M.F.A. is deliberate: our program is dedicated to interdisciplinary studies, and our students are expected to cross standard academic boundaries and disciplines. They are encouraged to explore the arts and the humanities from literary, historical, philosophical, and dramatic perspectives, from theoretical and practical approaches, and from creative and scholarly directions."

Sounds up my alley, and on top of everything it's affordable.

Anyway, I'm putting the word out, burst my bubble and tell me the real deal about this dream program.

Who knows, this perhaps my youth in the 80's beckons me, maybe this is my destiny:

O CAPTAIN my CAPTAIN!!!!

i hear La Vanda calling me.......where is my team?

it's as if i have forgotten something
very important!!

there's a dream of the killer wave, killer not because it shreds me, but because it offers the smooth ride all the way down the line.
i'm gonna follow the smell of exhaust to get to the next sweet spot, where i know you'll be waiting.......
if nothing more, waiting outside of the too expensive parking lot checking out the haps.

Cheiromancy

Greek:
cheir, “hand”
manteia, "divination"

(the more technical word for palm reading)

The hands, you know, are very important:

.the dominant hand holds the future the other holds the past. they both change when they come into contact with other surfaces.

she said:

you know what, it´s never gonna be the same

she said:

¿ya viste las líneas de tu mano? cambiaron cuando hicieron contacto con mi
cuerpo, lo sé porque las mías ya están distintas por ti

(mi futura)

she's right. i can feel it. my hands change their history with everything i touch they change my future they blur memories into colors and the future traces its path diverging more each time before the lines overlap

Once my hand fell on top of glass that was 1700 degrees (f) and I burned away my past. it explains my lack of memory, it explains the feeling of floating, it explains why my history seems to roam mirroring the patterns of possibility and the movements that my body make daily. estoy muy feliz. it cleared the way for you.

Where is JJ?

Jocelyn, Where Are you!!

your plants have moved to tijuana and i try to console them.
your table has moved to pepe´s
your juicer is fixed and waiting for you
your paint is hiding out with my dvds
your white pants wait in line for arrows to cover my stains
there is a blue blazer waiting in the closet (i know it's not a gift)
i haven't touched the lavender dish soap, nor used the grey bucket
the coffee maker hides in the closet until it has a home
everyone at the aguas termales wonders where the güerrita went

someone said you went to hawaii, to pheonix, to new york, to pheonix, possibly san diego, maybe soon to Tijuana.

your birthday came to me in a dream.
it was a voice in a box near my ear.

where's my jj?
